Podcast Episode 44: Show Notes!

All the everything from the Fiber & Fox Podcast Episode 44:
What I’m Wearing:
Feelin’ like a fraud, wearing a store bought (gifted) sweater. Whooopps. But its making me want to make the new Birch Pullover by Andrea Mowry!
The #fieldscardigan pattern is (finally) coming out on January 7th, and I am hoping to have the #throughtheraincowl and #throughtheraincowlMINI out January 21st! Stay tuned for upcoming pattern drops!
Unpopular opinion, but I am not exactly blown out of the water with my Clinton Hill Cashmere experience. I was gifted a skein from the I-91 Shop Hop and had been saving it for a winter hat project, but so far I’ve found 2 sets of ends knotted together and 4+ breaks/frays in the plys. So soft and fluffy, but not what I expected from a yarn that is $1 a gram! I am loving the final hat, which I roughly based on the Seismic Beanie by White Owl Crochet Co. And I got the decreases right this time!
I also started on a (2nd) Dandelion Drops Wall Hanging for my daughters room and this one is RAINBOW! I got the crochet bit done, and just need to do all the fringe and mount it on a branch to hang!
I tried to challenge myself with finally tackling cables on a small project and cast on the Hiedra Mitts by Fiber Tales. I was doing a-okay cabling along until I got to the thumb gusset and somehow horribly messed up my stitch count beyond repair (cause how does one rip back and pick up cables?!) so I began again and have just been mad at them. Will I conquer them in 2022?
And since all my projects have kind of been turning against me, I needed a really happy, easy, mindless project to close out the year: SOCKS. RAINBOW SOCKS. I am doing a simple slip stitch motif in my first ever skein of indie dyed self striping by White Birch Fiber Arts and they are AMAZING!
That’s all the everything for this episode – see you in episode 44!
