ADMIN:
What I’m Wearing: my 2nd time making the upcoming #fieldscardigan pattern (hoping for end of December 2021!) in Fiber for the People yarns the colorway “Chili,” my Herringtone Marliday cowl pattern (in lionbrand jeans *”Topstitch”) and the Bonfire Socks by Potter and Bloom in Paton’s Kroy Clover Colors *(affiliate links.)
FO’s:
I finished my 13th pair of socks this year: just some simple broken rib in *Paton’s Kroy “Grey Marl” and “Flax”. Possibly my favorite and most wearable pair yet?
WIPs:
Unpopular opinion, but I am not exactly blown out of the water with my Clinton Hill Cashmere experience. I was gifted a skein from the I-91 Shop Hop and had been saving it for a winter hat project, but so far I’ve found 2 sets of ends knotted together and 4+ breaks/frays in the plys. So soft and fluffy, but not what I expected from a yarn that is $1 a gram!
While I am not doing VLOGMAS this year, we are doing plenty of Advent things over here. We are really enjoying our family bible studies from The Daily Grace Co and A Brighter Day Press. (We also do a Christmas/winter book advent where I wrap up 25 books to pick a special bedtime story present.) Instead of buying more yarn when I have lots, I made my own scrappy Advent calendar. I am going to be making the 24 Days Socks by Potter and Bloom and letting my toddler draw the surprise colors for each day out of a bag. They might turn out wild, but I like the idea of a pair of socks commemorating a bunch of projects and designs from the year!
That’s all the everything for this episode – see you in episode 44!
