ADMIN:

Episode 40! And coming up in beginning of November the podcast turns 2! ANNND we are nearly at 3,000 subscribers. So, that means a giveaway! As soon as we hit those milestones I have a lovely giveaway lined up with some stitch markers, hand dyed yarn and a custom carved hook, so make sure you’re subscribed to take part in it!

Also, if you have interest in shopping my yarn and supply stash, there’s some bits left on my instagram destash account- @fiber.and.fox.destash – from last weeks destash. Yarns, stitch markers, poms… I’ve been trying to diligently delete lots as they have sold, so it’s its still up, it could be yours!

Wearing: a modified version of the Homegirl Sweater by Megmade with Love. You can check out my review and all my modifications in this post! Definitely one of my most worn sweaters and budget friendly too!

DESIGNS:

The Cardigan- which is officially the Fields Cardigan – is now in testing through mid-November. I am hoping to have it finalized and out to ya’ll before Christmas. Make sure you’re following on instagram and subscribed to my mailing list if you want to be sure to not miss the pattern release!

Up next on my design schedule is my new Through the Rain Cowl. I am SO excited about this stitch and color combo. I’ve written up the adult one, and am working on sizing for a toddler and child size option too. Stay tuned for a testing call, and get your mini skeins ready!

All the colors I used: The adult size uses a “moody rainbow” mini skein set + main color (the Mist) from Laine & Lotus, and the toddler size uses the same minis with a one-of-a-kind colorway from Silver Key Stitches. The 2nd adult size I used Cascade Heritage in the color 5631 as the main color and Zauberball Crazy in the color “Tropical Fish” as the accent skein instead of using minis (affiliate links).

FO’s:

And then, there’s my Child’s Feather Wing Shawl by @craftyintentions for my daughter’s birthday. It’s was a labor of love, let me tell you. I got 2 colors of Stroll Gradient (“Ice Sculpture” and “Sea You Later”) which I held double for the feathers and Swish DK in “Artic” as the outline of the feathers. It needs a good blocking, and definitely has some quirks, but overall I am pretty pleased with how well it turned out. Hopefully the little is equally pleased, because while it is a beautiful pattern, I cannot say it was joyful to make (but a brilliant construction!)

I also finished myself a pair of socks in yarn gifted to me by a viewer friend. It’s Paton’s Kroy in the color “Mexicala Stripes.” No pattern, I just alternated rows of (knit 3, slip one) followed by a knit row!

WIPs:

And obviously, MORE socks. These are kind boring to look at and not a thrill to work, but I will be glad to have them to wear with boots as a more neutral, possibly more socially acceptable option. Paton’s Kroy in the colors Grey Marl and Flax (affiliate). Again, no pattern just working in a broken ribs which is knit one, purl one for a row, and then knit one the next row!

That’s it! Thanks for hanging out with me! See you in Episode 39!
