ADMIN:

I GOT THE NEW CAMERA! I hope you are as thrilled as I am with the new and improved quality, both visual and audio. I am so excited to be able to show you things up close! I am definitely still learning my new gear, so bear with me. But if anyone is interested I got a Sony VZ-1.

DESIGNS:

The Cardigan- which is officially the Fields Cardigan – is now in testing through mid-November. I am hoping to have it finalized and out to ya’ll before Christmas. Make sure you’re following on instagram and subscribed to my mailing list if you want to be sure to not miss the pattern release!

*The yarn I used for this design is a combo of Life in the Long Grass Fine Sock in the color “Gorse” and Fiber for the People in an original skein (now the colorway is slightly warmer?) of “Leather.”

*i am also wearing my newly finished Mount Pleasant, a tee by Megan of @pipandpin. It’s definitely a beginner friendly way to jump into lace if you’re hesitant. The last is charted and written out fully, and is only like a 7 or 8 row, easy to memorize repeat. I am also adoring the the yarn from Urth Yarn’s Harvest Fingering line that is naturally dyed with Buckthorn! I snagged this one on my day at Northampton Wools. I’ve been loving it layered with my cardigan!

Now that I have the cardigan out into the testing world, I am going to be starting on a cowl design with a moody rainbow mini skein set + main color (the Mist) from Laine & Lotus. It’s basically designed and written in my head, even named, so hopefully it won’t be too long of a process. More on that coming soon!

WIPs:

I finished my Zig Zaggy Socks by Pottern and Bloom! I used a skein of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply in the color “Cardamom” (although my label says cardoman?) as the main color, and some remnant from my first pair of socks (Knits4Comfort in I *think* “Fireside Cider & Spice”) as a contrast cast on and toe. I love the texture and how easy to follow/read my stitches this pattern was.

Then I needed a simple knit, so I cast on a pair of vanilla socks for my toddler in some thrifted Paton’s Kroy Stripes in the color “Mulberry Stripes(affiliate link). Not my favorite color combo or stripe sequence, but I think I paid like a $1 for the skein so…whatever, they are socks!

Acquirings:

While this isn’t something I acquired, it might be something you want to keep on eye on to AQUIRE things from me! I made a de-stash page on Instagram where I will *at some point soon* be doing some clearing out of my stash. I’ve got excess yarn, tools and fiber arts supplies (like pom poms!) that need a new home. Be following fiber.and.fox.destash and maybe turn on post notifications so you don’t miss an opportunity to shop my stash!

That’s it! Thanks for hanging out with me! See you in Episode 39!
