I-91 Shop Hop Yarn Crawl 2021

Did you catch the vlog series I’ve been doing over on my YouTube channel? Local to me (in the Connecticut area) there is a yearly yarn shop event that takes place each summer called the I-91 Shop Hop.

There are 9 yarn shops along interstate 91 and each year they host a “shop hop” event with collaboration between all the stores. Grab a “passport,” collect stamps, win prizes, touch (and buy?!) all the yarn! You can follow the trail from New Haven, CT all the way to Putney, VT (about 3 hours one way)- and you don’t have to do it all in one day. This year the shops extended the timeline so instead of hosting it over a long weekend, it is running from August 10-21 (2021). 11 days to visit them all and enjoy the yarns each has to offer!

Aren’t local? Don’t worry! I’m taking you along the trail with me! A couple podcasters were asked to go ahead of the trail and do some tours/interviews with each shop. I’ve got 9 individual vlogs taking you into each shop, introducing you to the owners/staff, showing you all the pretty yarns, and even offering some giveaways! And most of the shops have online stores you can check out too! It’s been a rough year for everyone, especially small businesses and especially especially yarn shops that thrived on a community aspect, so I know each of these LYSs would appreciate your support and I always appreciate the views. Come shop hop with me!
