*going forward I am going to be simplifying my show notes a little bit. On episodes where there is a LOT of content I will likely not be photographing and modeling each item individually. This will be a spot for links and notes instead of visuals. So more visual content, always check the podcast!

ADMIN:

I re-drew a winner for the giveaway from Marji’s Yarncrafts in this episode – I didn’t hear back from the last one!

DESIGNS:

I FINISHED THE CARDIGAN!!! Well, I need to sew in some ends, and ya know, write up the whole pattern in all of the sizes, but the sample for my size if FINALLY done and I am so, so, so very pleased with the final outcome! This was a project that has been in my mind for …like 4 years…and I have finally gotten through making it a reality! The vneck, the buttons, and construction method, all of it was very much a wrestling match between my imaginings and the reality of math, but I think it came together exactly as I was hoping!

Make sure you’re following on instagram and subscribed to my mailing list if you’re interested in testing! It will probably be later in September by the time I get to doing a tester call, but I will need at least 2 people testing each size (XS-4XL), so keep an eye out for that opportunity!

*The yarn I used for this design is a combo of Life in the Long Grass Fine Sock in the color “Gorse” and Fiber for the People in an original skein (now the colorway is slightly warmer?) of “Leather.”

I also set up some new things on Ravelry, if you’re looking to stock up on some coziness and get projects started for fall/winter! I’ve organized my garments, cowls, and shawls into Bundles on Rav so you can find the easily, and I also set up some new discounts on multiple patterns. 2 patterns, get 5% off. 3 patterns, you get 10% off. 4 patterns? 15%! And wanna really stock up and get 5 patterns? You get 20% off! Applies to all of my Fiber & Fox patterns on Ravelry. No codes needed, automatically applies at check out!

FOs:

Techically the Cardigan is a huge FO, but the only other things I have to show this week are a finished set of Kroy socks in the color Blue Stripe Ragg (affiliate link) with the heels and toes in some West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply that I grabbed on my stop at HandKnits. And funny thing is, the color is definitely Cardamom from the Spice Collection…only my tag says “Cardoman.” So…*shrug*.

I was loving the pair I made for me, and with 2 fifty gram skeins I had plenty left over from my pair (~US women’s 7) for a bitty lil pair for my daughter too (~ US child’s 7). HOW CUTE ARE THESE?! I see lots of matching sock sets in out future!

WIPs:

I had initially purchased the skein of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply to make Potter & Bloom’s new Zigzaggy Socks. Not much to sock for it this episode as a WIP, but I did buy the pattern and get them cast on!

Acquirings:

If you recall back in the spring I stopped in at a Local Yarn Store day event with a local CT dyers pop up (you can catch that vlog here!) an snagged a Moody Rainbow mini skein set from Laine and Lotus. Well she was “popping up” during the i-91 shop hop (all the vlogs here!) as well and I founded a coordinating full skein in the color “Mist” to make a cowl designs I’ve had mulling around my brain a reality for a fall pattern release! COMING SOON! This is in no way a collaboration (although I’ve so enjoyed collabing with Jen before!) but I *might* petition for kits with the pattern release, cause I kinda petitioned her into the rainbow kits in the first place! But she does have a couple of the mini sets in the shop now as well as Mist if you wanna prepare!!

And then, after last episode (and many episodes) of professing my love for Paton’s Kroy, Emily of @elouisecrochet contacted me asking if I would give some extra skeins of Kroy she had a loving home. OBVIOUSLY YES. It always blows me away when any one of you guys think of me, even if it’s just tagging me in a post, or messaging me something mustard yellow or foxy. To be thought of in this big world is AMAZING. So I go to pick up the package and sweet Emily included a beautiful foxy project bag too! She’s getting into sewing and sent me HER FIRST EVER BAG?! And it’s adorable! Lil zipper pouch inside and everything. Totally made my day!

*The color of Kroy she sent are Flax (my favorite!), Mexicala Stripes and Mid Century Stripes if you need to add some to your stash too (affiliate links). AND Emily might just sell bag soon, so go give her a follow!

That’s it! Thanks for hanging out with me! See you in Episode 36!
