ADMIN:

Admin-wise, I will have some exciting yarn shop vlogs coming up the end of this summer! I’ve been asked to go ahead of the I-91 Shop Hop yarn crawl trail and film some shop tours and interviews with all of the 9 shops between New Haven, CT and Putney, VT! The actual shop hop will be taking place August 10-21, 2021, but I will be putting up the 9 vlog tours up daily-ish beginning Friday, July 30th. Mark your calendars, and if you’re local go grab your hop passports so you’ll be ready!

DESIGNS:

The Graynbow Shawl is finally here! It launched last week and has been getting lots of love- thank you! If you missed the launch and pattern, check out this post/video for all the pattern details and tons of color inspiration to get you started!

And my mustard yellow cardigan is still in the works…I’ll update you soon!

FOs:

I complete the baby blanket project I was working on! No-pattern, non-design baby blanket as a gift for a family member. I just did some basic bobbles in worsted weight Yarn Bee, and edged it out in the border from my Dandelion Dreams blanket pattern.

I’ve been building up my box of socks for 2021 (you can check out all the socks I knit in 2020 in this video!) and I finished another pair. Made up something something using some scraps of yarn I dyed with avocado and some left overs of Megs and Co “I Could Live in Hope.” Completely winging in on a pattern. They are kinda more sisters than twins, but shhhh, they are just socks!

WIPs:

FINALLY casted on the Staple Linen Top by JoJi Locatelli that has been in my que for …since she released it last year. I cast it on in some Fibra Natura Lina in the color “Sterling” that I got on one of my shop hop stops. I am very excited to HAVE this piece in my wardrobe as, ya know, a staple, but I have to say it’s not the most enjoyable knit. Not a bad pattern or anything, but a fairly basic pattern combined with very plain yarn has proved a little dull. So excited to be done in a few more inches!

That’s it! Thanks for hanging out with me! See you in Episode 35!
