ADMIN:

I AM IN THE NEW OFFICE!!!! Set up and organization still underway, but we did it! Thank you for the patience and making it happen for Fiber & Fox financially!

Wanted to mention the 1-91 Shop Hop again. It will be taking place across 1-91 August 8-20th and there are 9 different yarn shops participating between Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. If you’re local, mark your calendars, and even if you’re not, come along to all the shops with me! Last year I visited each shop, gave a tour and did an interview with the owners- check those videos out here!

Finally, finally getting somewhere on my upcoming addition to my dandelion stitch collection! The Dandelion Disperse Shawl is out with testers! I worked it up in 3 “lucky strike” colorways by Fiber for the People yarn and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! Wanna brush up on dandelion stitch? I have a tutorial to get you ready for the upcoming pattern release!

FOs:

The 10 year blanket. I started this wip literally a decade ago. Literally. I decided I either needed to finish it or send it out of my house, so here’s to hoping this project is finish, finished soon! SO. MANY. ENDS. But I did get all 60 squares joined and put a border around it! Stay tuned for the total end count.

WIPs:

Gotta have more socks! I am working on a pair of Juniper Grove Socks by The Blue Mouse using some remnant cones from a visit to Green Mountain Spinnery again on a quick VT trip (watch a full tour of their amazing mill and process here!!!). I have put these ones on hold though, as the cone yarns aren’t the most practical to cart around on the go with me with for summer knitting.

Emily also has a new series on sock knitting basics out on her YouTube channel if you’re looking to get started on sock knitting! Need more sock knit basics and getting started inspo? Check out my box of socks videos from 2020 and 2021.

I also started the Sprocket Socks by Pip and Pin, made in Laine and Lotus minis (in the video I did say I was using one skein by another dyer, but then I realized they actually ALL are laine and lotus colorways! You can still join in with the #sixweeksofsockskal #sixweeksofsocks2022 knit along if you’d like!

Another summer project I am working on is the Cumulus/Kumulus Tee by Petit Knit. Super simple, staple, basic v-neck tee construction. I am using up some stash yarn (Lana Grossa Linea Pura Collino – which I think is discontinued?) I got on last year’s shop hop trip to Village Wool. Loving how this is coming together!

I also have aspirations of casting on another v-neck tee – the Rock It Tee by Tanis Lavallee – and another baby knit – the Friday Sweater Baby by Petit Knit. Do you think I can get it all done before the baby is born?

Acquirings:

I got a bunch of undyed yarn to play around with natural dyeing over the rest of the summer. If you want to shop around where I ordered I got these ones from Knomad Yarns and Wool 2 Dye 4.

And that’s it…That’s all the everything for this episode – see you in episode 56, here’s to hoping I have my new yarn shelf set up!?
